Camille Miller

Camille Miller has never been one to avoid facing her demons. This process began in full force during her early teenage years as a way to express her frustration with the lack of outward communication that comes with the territory of growing up as an “army brat”. Songs enabled her to get her voice heard under the less threatening and clever disguise of a cute song.

Born in Germany, and raised on military bases all across Canada, Camille grew up on Motown, Carly Simon, The Carpenters, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and the Rolling Stones. These artists shaped Camille’s musical tastes at an early age, and were the voices that put her to sleep at night and still provide comfort to her as she brings an updated version of vocal grace and soul of yesteryears to her modern pop sound.

Her latest full length album “Somewhere Near The Truth” was released in 2008. Recorded and engineered by Geraldo Dominelli (Loverboy, West End Girls) at the infamous Mushroom Studios in Vancouver, the album is a diary of emotions that we ALL know too well…Lust.. Love.. Regret.. Frustration..and of course, the joys of couch surfing whilst on tour. In 2010 Camille released a new single “Artificial Joy”.
