Chris Kirby

Soulful Newfoundland singer/songwriter Chris Kirby is stepping out from behind the curtain. The award-winning producer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist is back with his first album in seven years, What Goes Around, featuring the hot new single “Pot of Gold.”

Why the long gap? The fact is, Kirby’s been too busy and too successful to get his own music out. He’s been on the road with Matt Andersen, playing keyboards and co-writing two songs on the singing sensation’s latest, Halfway Home By Morning. Then there’s all the song writing for the likes of Juno-winner Stephen Fearing, The Once, The East Pointers, Tim Chaisson and more. He’s produced East Coast Music Award-winning albums for Charlie A’Court and Beauwater, plus hot new folk act Quote the Raven, and lots of others.

But enough waiting. Kirby has too many great new tracks to share. What Goes Around is a rich soul album, with thick grooves and passionate vocals, funky keyboard parts, huge hooks and sly, sexy lyrics, tunes that reflect his love of all things Aretha, Stevie Wonder and Al Green. From being everyone’s secret weapon, this East Coast all-star is taking centre stage with What Goes Around, the album he’s being dying to make, and the one you need to hear.

Chris is a multiple award-winning songwriter, artist and producer with 6 full length solo albums to his credit and over 70 cowrites with the likes of Billy Falcon (Faith Hill), Bruce Wallace (Doc Walker/Dierks Bentley/Trace Adkins) Matt Andersen and Tim Chaisson. Chris can be found songwriting, performing and producing across multiple genres and is currently a touring member of JUNO Award nominee Matt Andersen & the Bona Fide.
