Alanna Matty
With her perfect blend of indie-folk and dream-pop, Alanna Matty’s enchanting vocals and self-reflective lyrics weave stories and toy with your emotions, creating instant connections between her and her listeners. Born and raised in Toronto, Alanna felt the pull of the East Coast music scene and uprooted her life to start fresh in Halifax in 2022, bringing her online community with her by continuing to perform her music live on Twitch to thousands of viewers each week.
Alanna is also hot on the tail of her first North American tour, playing shows across Canada and the US. Her music has already earned spots in video games, TV shows and viral videos, with her recent single “End Up Alone” being described as a “Slow-burn beauty that curls around you like a haze of cigarette smoke” (Shannon Linton, Dominionated). She is currently working on a new LP, set to release in 2024.
Alanna is a full-time musician, but also a professional video game sound designer and music producer. Alanna is also part of the duo “The Two Body Problem” with collaborator Dan Hamilton.
