Awolk
Awolk is a Canadian neo-folk singer songwriter hailing from Nova Scotia. His alternative style, blends melody focused songs with modern acoustic and electric soundscapes. He released his debut full length record in the summer of 2018. Self titled, the album is a weighty and eclectic list of tracks, covering the lyrical and melodic thoughts that were developing over the last few years. Awolk has toured across Eastern Canada, including Newfoundland supporting Kellie Loder and a Montreal showcase with Father and Son records, supporting Oliver Forest. Awolk identifies primarily as a songwriter, and expresses this quality in a live show experience. Awolk was nominated for two awards at Nova Scotia Music Week in 2019, “New Artist Recording of the Year” and “Pop Recording of the Year” and his latest single “Love What’s Left” was released in 2019, with more music coming in 2020.
