Roxy & The Underground

Roxy & The Underground Soul Sound are a 6-piece Soul-Funk band from Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The group channels classic soul and funk in their infectious original material. With an airtight rhythm section and searing horns lay the foundation, over which the five-foot firecracker lead vocalist Roxy Mercier soulfully drives home songs of social justice, love lost & won.

2019, has been an amazing year for the Roxy & The Underground Soul Sound. The band just released their new album, Stand Up & is making waves across the country & beyond. The new record reminds its listeners to fight for what you believe in & that love really does conquer all.

“Lead singer Roxy Mercier is upbeat, dramatic and fun as always, with the savvy of Amy Winehouse and the spirit of ‘60’s girl groups.”
